First Day! AKA All our stuff made it to Denver!

Let's start by saying: we have a LOT of stuff! Thanks to my mom who helped us squeeze it all into Dad's Fit and brought us to the airport EARLY in the morning!

We were magically in the "Don't take off your shoes or remove anything from your bag" security line, so we got to our gate super fast and headed off to Denver!  Odub was a champ on the flight, watching some TV, coloring, & napping.
Once in Denver we picked up our camper van from Native Camper Vans and headed off to the grocery store and Earth Treks Golden!  It's a little full in the van with all our stuff (the trunk is taken up by the kitchen) but with the roof rack it all fits!  It doesn't seem like we'll use the bed much just because moving around all our stuff is a hassle, but it's really nice to have a stove, cooler, & utensils already here for us.

Earth Treks Golden was cool, it was fun to see people who've moved out there from Maryland and catch up a little.  After a lot of Odub running around the yoga room (highlight: he knocked a huge tower of yoga blocks onto himself!) and a little bouldering we took off for the Denver West KOA campground.  Given the scarcity of good camping options around Denver/Boulder it seemed like a good idea to reserve a site for this first night's camping.

We made it to the campground in time to set up our tent and a tarp before the thunderstorm rolled in!  Then hung out in the van & tent and read books, watched TV, & tried our best to hold off making dinner until 5:30.  Time changes suck.

We held out, and got to enjoy cooking in our van's sweet kitchen and then eating at the van's table!  Hooray for college recipes: Chicken Alfredo with Spinach and Sun-dried Tomatoes!

After a brief stint at the playground, we had showers and now it's time for an early bed!
